Shine Talent Accelerator & Review (aka STAR)
Terms & Conditions
By registering for the Shine Talent Accelerator & Review ("STAR"), you agree to the following terms.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
STAR is a self-paced education and mentorship ("coaching") program designed to support Actors in developing marketability, industry readiness, and professional strategy.
Your enrollment includes two separate components:
COURSE ACCESS
You receive ongoing access to STAR training materials and course lessons. Course materials are self-paced and may be completed on your own schedule. Course access is separate from coaching access.
COACHING ACCESS
Coaching access is available for six (6) months from your date of registration.
Coaching access may include:
- coaching sessions
- office hours
- feedback opportunities
- community participation
- guided mentorship
Coaching access is time-based, not completion-based. You are responsible for using coaching support within the available timeframe.
NATURE OF THE PROGRAM
STAR is an education, mentorship, coaching, and consulting program.
Shine does not guarantee specific results, including bookings, representation, employment, income, or career outcomes.
Shine is not a talent agency, management company, or casting company.
PAYMENT COMMITMENT AND INSTALLMENT PLANS
Enrollment in STAR represents a commitment to the full program tuition.
If you enroll using an installment plan:
- You agree to complete all scheduled payments regardless of attendance, schedule conflicts, participation level, or perceived readiness.
- Installment plans are a payment courtesy and are not subscription or pay-as-you-go arrangements.
- Payments continue according to the agreed schedule even if participation changes or coaching access ends.
Payments are not tied to your use of coaching, your attendance at live sessions, your course completion or your scheduling availability.
REFUND POLICY
You may request a 100 percent refund within fourteen (14) days of your registration date, provided you have actively participated in the program.
Active participation means:
- attending live sessions or watching released recordings
- completing assigned video modules
- completing applicable assignments
Completion will be verified by Shine.
Refund requests submitted more than fourteen (14) days after registration are not eligible for approval.
Your failure to attend or participate does not qualify you for a refund.
PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS
STAR is designed for self-directed participation. You are responsible for:
- completing lessons
- engaging with coaching opportunities
- communicating proactively if circumstances change
Schedule conflicts or personal or professional commitments do not cancel or amend your obligation to payment.
PAUSE POLICY
If personal or professional circumstances prevent your active participation, you may request a coaching pause. If approved:
- Coaching access may be paused for up to sixty (60) total days during your six-month coaching period.
- The coaching timeline will pause during the approved period and resume once you return.
- Installment payments continue as scheduled.
- Course access remains available during the pause.
Pause requests must be submitted in writing in advance and approved by the Shine team. Multiple or extended pauses beyond the allowed timeframe are not guaranteed. Failure to request a pause does not extend your coaching access.
NON-PARTICIPATION
If you choose not to participate or cannot complete STAR, no refunds will be issued. You remain responsible for the full tuition.
PAYMENT DEFAULT AND ACCESS SUSPENSION
Enrollment requires that your payment account remain current. If a scheduled payment fails or your account becomes past due:
- Shine may suspend access to coaching, course materials, and program resources until your account is brought current.
- Suspension of access does not cancel or reduce your financial obligation. All remaining payments remain due.
- Access may be restored once outstanding payments are resolved.
- Suspension due to non-payment is not considered cancellation of services or tuition owed by Shine.
COLLECTIONS
If your account remains unpaid after reasonable attempts to resolve the balance:
- Shine reserves the right to pursue collection of outstanding amounts through third-party collection services or other lawful means.
- Where permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for reasonable costs associated with collection efforts.
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS
Participants agree to maintain respectful and professional conduct within STAR coaching spaces and community environments.
Shine reserves the right to remove participants from coaching spaces or community access if behavior disrupts the program or violates professional standards.
Removal does not cancel payment obligations.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All STAR materials, content, training frameworks, recordings, and resources are the intellectual property of Shine.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or share program materials without written permission.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program.
Participation decisions and career outcomes remain your responsibility.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold Shine harmless from claims arising from:
- misuse of program materials
- violation of these terms
- actions taken based on program participation
PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS
Shine may update program structure, schedules, or delivery format as needed to support program quality and participant outcomes.
ELECTRONIC AGREEMENT
By registering, you acknowledge that electronic acceptance constitutes agreement to these terms.
GOVERNING LAW AND SEVERABILITY
These terms are governed by applicable law in the State of New York in the United States.
If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect.
